What I can offer you as a therapist comes not only from my education and training, but from my life experiences and from who I am as a person. I am a former lawyer. I am a bilingual and bicultural Japanese-American who was raised in the United States in an immigrant family. Coming from this background, I’ve developed a lifelong interest in culture, identity, and difference. After years of reflecting on my diverse experiences, I feel I’ve gained the openness and insights to help others make sense of the complex lives and histories we all navigate.
